After last year’s incredible 505 concerts, Elisabeth Van Lierop and Tijs Delbeke, together with Eline Goethals, launched the citizens’ initiative Worried Citizens. They felt that many people are worried, but also believe that those worries can be the starting point for positive change rather than powerlessness.

That’s why on 20 September 2025, at the foot of the Atomium in Brussels, they are organizing Show Up for Humanity – the free music festival that turns worries into action. They expect up to 40,000 visitors for a day filled with music, connection, and above all, social action. Many people worry about climate change, inequality, and other global challenges, but often feel powerless and alone.

Show Up for Humanity breaks through that feeling by bringing people together and showing that empathy and solidarity can be the driving force for real change. This is not a moralizing sermon, but a positive and accessible moment where caring is cool takes center stage. Alongside a strong musical line-up, the festival offers practical ways to turn worries into action – from small to big, tailored for everyone.

With Show Up for Humanity, we want everyone to realize and experience once again that we are not alone. All over Belgium, thousands of people long for a fairer, more sustainable, and more caring world.
